Anirudh's Wedding

If you are a regular visitor of my blog you must have noticed that I haven’t been blogging much recently. After the exams I just didn’t feel like blogging. I just don’t seem to be able to find any topic. So I thought I would just bring you guys to light speed with what is happening in my life.

After the CA exams ended the next big thing lined up was Ani’s (Anirudh Damani) wedding. The first wedding in our group. We all were pretty excited. From the day Ani was engaged we have been thinking about his wedding gift. Our minds journeyed from a holiday trip to a pair of watch, but we could not reach a decision.

You will agree with me when I say that no marriage is complete without a bachelor’s party. Ani was not planning to give us one. That was a golden opportunity for a perfect wedding gift. A late night party at a disc. Harsh and Rungta (his name is Ashish) finalized the plan and CLOUD 9 was the venue chosen. Manjharee’s (the bride) friends were also invited. It was kept a secret form the Ani and Manjharee. It was supposed to be a surprise for them … and they were quite surprised. Rungta told them that he was taking them to meet some friend of his and instead led them to Cloud 9. It was some awesome party. Everyone enjoyed thoroughly.

The marriage celebrations commenced form the 30th. Kirtan on day 1 (30.11.2005), Sangeet on day 2 (1.12.2005), The Reception on day 3 (2.12.2005), and the Marriage on day 4 (3.12.2005).

Initially there were plans for not even one bachelor’s party and ultimately we ended up having 2 of them. Ani’s elder bro, Kishore Bhaiya threw a bash and that too in cloud 9.

It was quite an experience seeing my friends got married. The thought that we would be in his position soon was both terrifying and sweet. It is times like this that I wish I had that someone special in my life.

We also went to Ani’s place on his first night. His room was very well decorated and quite a sight. And we also gave him the most common gift a friends would give another on his First Night. Comeon … don’t tell me you cant figure that one out.

Wishing both Anirudh and Manjharee a very happy married life

One topic of continuous discussion among our friend group during the wedding was that who would be next. The major contestants were Harsh and Abhyuday.

The wedding and all the parties are now over. Time for me to start preparing for the MBA exams which are just around the corner.
